Our Youth sessions are always a success

They are held Wednesday and Thursday, from 3.30 to 5.30

Shotton I.T. Centre strives to cater for everyone!

After school homework / games sessions are held three afternoons a week for young people aged 6 to 16 years.

Here they can let off steam pitting their wits against their friends by playing interactive games. By using the Local Area Network, we are able to keep up to date with the latest games on the market.

If the youngsters wish to continue their studies after school, they can do research on the Internet or Microsoft Encarta, learn keyboard skills, receive help with Maths and English or design posters and greetings cards.

Our youth members have also taken part in other activities we provide, i.e. the older children have taken part in intergenerational sessions where they have helped the elderly of the village to learn the benefits of using a computer for social networking, shopping and banking. The younger members have taken part in parent and child sessions where they learnt how to use the Internet safely.

These sessions give parents peace of mind as they know that their children are in a safe place while having fun.
